DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A firm tone is still satisfactorily in eviaence in the share market, and stocks have been freely quoted throughout the week. National Banks have firmed to £6 ss, and Bank of New Zealands to £18 28 6d, with sellers at £18 6s 6d. There was a sale of Bank of New Zealand shares on Wednesday at £18 4s, and of Nationals at £6 6s. The old issue of Bank of New Zealand stock is about oven with last week's prices, the latest quotations being £13 2s and £13 6s. Buyers of New Zealand Insurance shares have advanced to £10 Bs, but there have been no selling quotations. National Insurances have had a sale at £3 3s 3d, and Standards have been sought about £2 4s, with a seller yesterday at £2 Bs. P. and 0. deferred stock has not fluctuated much. There are still buyers at £395 and sellers at £400. Huddart-Parkers were active early in the week, when sales were transacted up to _£2 4s 3d, but the latest quotations are slightly under that price. Woollen shares are still sought at a good price. For Bruce Woollens £1 14s 6d has been unsuccessfully offered, and Oamaru Woollens firmed to £1 12s yesterday without getting a seller to offer. Mosgiel Woollen Factory shares were in demand at £5 4s 6d West-port-Stockton coal shares have been sold at 9s, and they have been on offer sincc at the same price. l The. preference issue has been on the market at lis 4d. On Friday there was a s'ale of Westport C'oaJs at £1 lis. New Zealand Refrigerating shares continue firm, and New Zealand Drugs also show little change in value. Milburn Lime and Cements have been in firm demand all the week, but the market has been bare of sellers. For National Mortgage shares buyers are now offering £4 6s unsuccessfully. The dredging market has been quiet, neither has there been much activity in mining shares. Talismans, which have nad business at 9s, were wanted yesterday at the same price, with a seller at 9s 6d. Neither Waihis nor Waihi Grand Junctions have had any notable change in value, and quotations are about equal to those at the end of last week. Mount Lyells have varied slightly, the closing quotations yesterday afternoon being £1 lis 7d and £1 12s 3d, buyers and sellers respectively. Sale: West-port Coal, £1 lis.
