GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATIONS. [Extract from N.Z. Gazette, No. 124, 12th Sept., 1918.] LAND TAKEN FOR THE PURPOSES OF A STllKliT IN OCEAN BEIAOH DISTRICT, CITY OF DUNEDIN. [L.S.] Governor-General. A PROCLAMATION. Whereas the Land describsd in tho Scnedule hereto is required to be taken, under " Tho Public Works Act, 1908," for a certain public work—to wit, for a street in 0*030.11 Beach District, City of Dunedin: And whereas the Dunedin City Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map (in duplicate), as required by the said Act: And wheieas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twentyseven of the said Act and " Tho Municipal Corporation Act, 1908," to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William do Brito Savilc, Earl of Liverpool, the Gover-nor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public Works Act, 1908," and of every other power and authority /in anywise enabling me in this behalf; and, being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a str<iet, and shall vest in the Corporation of tho Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifth day of OCTOBER, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen. SCHEDULE. Approximate area of the piece of land taken, 2.31 perches. Portion of Section 7, part of Allotment 2, Ocean Beach and City of Dunedin (L.T. Plan 1420).
