COLLECTION OF BACHELOR TAX. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. JiIELBOURNE, September 20. (Received Sept. 20, at 8.30 p.m.) It is understood that £6,000,000 of new Federal taxation will be required this year, chiefly to meet growing burdens from the war. The question of the collection of the bachelor tax, which so far has remained inoperative, is receiving attention.
