The German press reluctantly recognise that Germany bears the responsibility for the Austrian Peace Note, which was the last act in long negotiations between. Berlin .and Vienna. The Berliner Tageblafct's Budapest correspondent asserts that the Note was agreed on in principle between the Foreign Ministers Count Bnrian and Admiral von Hintze during the Litter's visit to Vienna. It was arranged that, when the adversaries' offensive had reached a certain stage and the German armies had taken up their new positions, a peace step should be undertaken. The.
