After negotiating for some timo with the owner, the Defence Department has decided to commandc.sr for a convalescent home for . soldiers the building recently erected for an Anglican Boys' Orphanage, a couple of miles from Timaru, at a cost of about £15.000. The orphanage has been occupied a week by the boys, who were prervi- > ously in a hired building.
