"PEG O' MY HEART."

Friday next will witness tho reappearance liore of J. and N. Tait's English Comedy Company, and His Majesty's Theatre mil be occupied by the charming young Irish actress, Miss Sara Allgood, and the supporting company, in a, presentation of the world-wide success, " IVg 0 ' My Heart." Produced at the Palace Theatre, Sydney, at Easter, 1916, the comedy ran for 112 performances, thus beating all previous records for spoken dra.nia. It was withdrawn in the height of its succces there to fulfil arranged dates in Melbourne, where it enjoyed a run of 10 weeks prior to taking up tho Now Zealand dates which had been booked a year previously. On its return from New Zealand it ran in Sydney for four weeks, and was then sent to Hobart. The comedy was a tremendous success throughout Tasmania, a.nd ;t is fully anticipated that it will again meet with a similar success here. Miss Sara Allgood, in the rolo of Peg, has earned a big reputation everywhere she has appeared. Playgoers may be assured of tho production again heing on the same lavish scale as in Australia. There is r.othing sensational in the story of "Peso' My Heart," and it is due to the delightful freshness and clean dialogue that "Peg" has enjoyed such wonderful success. As little Peg, from America, with a paternally acquired and delicious brogue, this delightful heroino goes to live with recently impoverished people at Scarborough. She thoroughly enjoys shoekinsr these good people at every opportunity, and they only tolerate her because she brings with lier a irco income. There is a pretty love story, and a harroy ending, and there is not a sigli in the play. Tho box plan will open at The Bristol on Wednesday m.orning.
