Dr .1. E. K. Brown has received his commission as captain in the N.Z.M.C., and is at present in Awapuni Camp, prior to his departure for the front. By tlin Inst mail the Church of England Military Affairs Coramitt<v received a letter from Prebendary Carlilc, D.D.. founder of The Church Army, in which he states that during the recent German offensive over 50 Church Army huts were destroyed. There is no doubt that some of those oroctod by Now Zealand funds suffered. Money » urgently needed to replace them.
