" Interested."-—Regulation 81 of tho Otago Education Board states, inter alia:— " Girls are not to be subjected to corporal punishment unless in exceptional coses. The head teacher shall be held reeponaiblo for the discipline of his school and for the manner in which punishments aire inflicted. In no caso shall a pupil toacher or «i probationer bo permitted to inflict corporal punishment." A. B„ Abbotsford.—As it is not lawful to pay wages otherwise than in money, :t seems unnecessary to answer tout other questions.
