Robert Mackie Matthew .Fyfe (farm manager, Menzies Ferry) was represented by Mr Davey.—His employer (Thomas Ayson), 70 years of age, entered an appeal on his behalf as essential to the carrying on of the farm.—Mr Ayson said he had not so far attempted to fill Fyfe's place. The farm required three men to work it properly, and if Fyfe went he would have to let it drift.—The appeal was dismissed.
