ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
John Christie, who was admitted to the Hospital on Monday evening suffering from > n £ifH>s to his head, as the result of a fall '.when attempting to leave a tramcar at tho Octagon, died in the institution at 1.50 p.m. yesterday, without regaininc consciousness. An inquest will be held at 9 o clock this morning at the Hospital. _ In response to inquiries made last ovening, the Hospital authorities reported that there was no change in Mr Edward Towsey s condition, and that he way still on the dangerously ill list. Mr William Blakeley. guard on the Pubho Works train at Clyde, met with a painful accident on Saturday. He was climbing down from a truck to apply the brake, when he slipped and fell," being x dragged along the trade for a considerable distance.
