NEW YORK, May 21 Mr Daniels, Secretary of the Navv, in a speech, said: "Before another summer has passed we shall have ships enough to carry millions of troops to France" and enough destroyers to safely convoy them. Germany made her recent drive because the Kaiser realises that when America gets ships enough to carry her men the end will come. America realises that never again must her commerce be carried in foreign bottoms. Victory we will win, even if the war last tflfwe call out all men from 18 to 60 vears of age " WASHINGTON, May 20. General Crowder, United States Director of Recruiting, estimates that 750,000 men will automatically be added to the United States army in June by youths attaining their majority.
