A: meeting of the secretaries, presidents, and other officials of 20 unions affiliated to the New South Wales Labour Council endorsed the resolutions carried at the Uovernor-General's recruiting conference and submitted a request to the unions for a conference.of delegates, with a view to i j 01^anlsa '^ on . an industrial body pledged to act in consonance with and adopt the policy of the trade union movement. The meeting also expressed strong disapproval of the proeedings at the last meeting of the Labour Council, and the urgent need for its reorganisation by eliminating the extreme revolutionary element. J DEREGISTERED UNIONS. CABINET CONSIDERING THE MATTER. „ SYDNEY, May 23. The New South Wales Cabinet on Monday will decide the question of the registration of trade unions deregistered as a result of the strike. It is pointed out that the Government's promise to register was conditional upon Trades and i/abour Council resolving to do everything possible to stimulate recruiting, and no such resolution ha 6 vet been carried by the council.
