That fascinating little celebrity, Mae Marsh is tho star of the great Goldwyn production "Polly of the Circus," screening at tho Octagon and King Edward 1 heatres next Saturday. This is a big spectacle with a u.muuiuL story runnuig through 'it. Probably no film can cominanu such a wide raugo- ot appeal, s.nce it will be as delightful to children on account of the actual circus displays which it reproduces, as it will bo fascinating to adults by reason of the compelling heartinterest and thrilling episodes. Polly left motherless, is reared by an old clown n'amc-d ioby as a circus girl. During one of her daring bare-backed stunts she has a fall and is left behind! in a small town. It chances that tho house sho was taken to was the residence of the young minister J rim Douglas. As Polly is 16 and beautiiul, and the minister 25 and a bachelor, scandal soon gets busy. Polly is driven by scheming busy-bodies to leave the town without a word to the man she lovee. Sho returns to tho circus, and the circus returns to the town and happiness returns to two loving hearts One of tho most amazing scenes is the burning of the big circus tent and tho stampede of the audience, while the racecourse scene where Polly, in a thrilling race rides the winning horse, is said to hold the audience breathless.
