Monday, May 20. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M) Drunkenness.—Robert Anderson,' who did not appear, was fined 20s, the amount of his bail. Two first offenders, who did not appear, were each fined 20s, in default 48 hours imprisonment while a third was fined 20s, or 48 hours imprisonment.David Hood pleaded guilty to a chafe of drunkenness and not guilty to casting offensive matter in St. Andrew street, and entered a simijar plea to a charge of committing mischief by wilfully damaging a cab window, valued at 10s. the property of Julian M Quade.—He was convicted on all charges For drunkenness he was fined 12s. including 2s cab hire, in default 48 hours imprisonment, and for castinoffensive matter ho was fined 20s. or three oa>s imprisonment.
