(Pjsb United Phes« Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH. May 16. At the criminal sittings this morning the Chief Justice imposed sentences in the Rahotu riot cases. To Whlti was sentenced to 18 montlis' imprisonment, and was fined £20, to be paid on his release, in default a further six Six other Maoris received six months' imprisonment and were each fined £10. Four others received four months and were fined £7. Six others were fined £5 and admitted to probation for two years. One other was fined £2 2s and admitted to probation for two years.
