SALVATION ARMY WAR WORK APPEAL.

The hon. treasurer, Mr G. L. Donniston, acknowledge-, the receipt of the following additional subscriptions to the above fund:

Oil Friday the final effort in connection with the above appeal will be made, when a street collection will bo taken up. Tho Army has, during the past three years, done noble work on behalf of our boys at the front and at the various camps, and the whole cost in the past has boon borne by the international headquarters of the Salvation Army. They are now asking th.»j people of this dominion to assist them r« carrying on this meritorious work, and r\c< doubt the citizens of Dunedin will contribute their fair share. The ladies have, as usual, responded magnificently to tho appeal few collector.-; for Friday, and there will be a large band of lady collectors engaged on Friday morning. The public can rely that every penny will bo wisely spent, and the Salvation Army has a reputation of making a pound go further than most people. Ritchie, head); Hallenstein's corner (Mrs Borrie, head); Strand corner, Otago Women's Clnb (Miss Gether, head); Sprosen's corner, Otago Women's Patriotic Association (Miss K.
