DEATHS. t BATEMAN.—On January 7, died from wounds " Somewhere in Franco," Private Thomas Henry (I-la-rry) Batcman, dearly loved eldest sou of Mr and Mrs John 11. Bateman, Waitahuna; aged 22 years. HARRIS.—On December 3, died from wounds " Somewhere in Franco," Private John Hnrrie, 46714 (25th Reinforcements, O.I.B.), beloved son of Adam Harris, " Suminerwood," Saddle Hill. ITo did his duty. HAUGH.—On December 3, 1917, killed whilo in action " Somewhere in Franco," Private James David Haugh. beloved husband of Elizabeth Haugh, Napier, and eldest son of David and the late Catherino Haugh, Wyndbam; aged 32 years. He nohly aiiswfirpil duty's call and gave up all for honour's cause. MILLAR. —On December 18, died fmm wounds " Somewhere in France." Private John Millar (23rd Reinforcements), dearly loved youngest son of Robert and Margaret Millar, Sawyers Bay. Deeply regretted. He nobly did his duty.
