He did his duty. HENDERSON.—On October 12, killed while in action " Somewhere in Franc©," Rifleman Charlps John (Earl of Liverpool's Own), dearly loved son of Mrs Henderson, Lowburn Ferry; aged 26 years. Ho did his best* MATHESON.—On October 12, killed while in action in France, Rifleman James Weir Matheson (21st Reinforcements), dearly beloved eldest son of Mr and Mrs John Matheson, Kennington (Southland), and grandson of the late Captain James Matheson, Port Chalmers; aged 25 years.
