CITY POLICE COURT
Thursday, Novembeb 8. (Before Mr J. R, Bartholomew, S.M.) Drunkenness.—Alexander Findlater was convicted and discharged. An Incorrigible Rogue.—Annie Kelly, alias Anderson, who was charged with not possessing sufficient lawful means of support, was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment.
Casting Offensive Matter. — Richard Clough appeared charged with this offence, and also Vrtth insobriety.—Ho was defended by Mr E. J. Smith.—Defendant having given evidenoe on his own behalf, hia Worship said'he was impressed with the apparent truthfulness of dough's statements. As to the charge of drunketcness, it seemed to be a matter of opinion; ho (his Worship) considered that the charge was not sustained. As to the other charge, it was possible that the arresting constable had made a mistake. He would dismiss both' charges.
