COMPETITIONS' SOCIETY
A meeting of the Competitions Society was held on Wednesday evening, Mr G. W. M'lntosh presiding. ' A presentation of a gold wrist watch was made to Miss Gard'ner by the members of tho committee in appreciation of the valuable services rendered by her in putting on "Cinderella" in aid of the society's funds.
Tho Secretary reported tliat at a meeting of the band conductors of the various fife and drum bands arrangements had been, made in connection with next year's competitions. Mr G. B. Laidlaw had been requested to write the test selections for both' A and B grade bands, quartets, and sidedrum solos. .
Arrangements were made for the Beleotion of the musio for next year's festival,, and several suggestions were made in connection with the next festival.
Accounts amounting to £14 9s were passed for payment.
It was resolved to .hold the annual meeting this month.
