October 10. At the Addington market there were again moderate yardinga of fat stock and large entries of storo cattle and dairy cows. There was an'incrcaso in. the offering of etore sheop, and a good sale resulted, especially for wethers and hoggets, which showed an advance The fat cattle offerings were email, quality moderate, and tho prices were firmer, values being equal to 56s to over 60s per 1001b. There were small yardinga of fat lambs, which met with a good sale. Fat sheep were firmer, tho yarding being a moderate one, and including a number of Southland and North Otago linea, as well as the first shorn sheep of tho season. The market was very firm, and prices for prime quality showed a little adivance. There was a very large yarding of store cattle, mostly made up of two to thrcc-year-olds and pon3 of dry cows and heifers, but thero were few yearlings. There was a good clearance at late rates. Fat pigs were easier, as a local bacon curer had secured a supply of baconera from the North Island. Store pigs, on the other hand, woie in strong demand. Dairy cows met with a good sale.

Store Sheep.—Sound-mouthed ewes and lambs (all told), 21s 6d to 26s lOd; two and four-tooth wethers,' 34s 6d to 35s 6d; four and six-tooth wethers*, 34s to 42s 3d; ewe hoggets, 31s 5d to 40s; wether hoggets, 27s 161 to 35s sd; mixodt-sex hoggets, 29s to 31s 6d; now season's fat lambs, 20s 6d to 333.

Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers, to 58s 4d; prime wethers, 45s 6d to 50s 6d; lighter wethers, 39s 6d to 455; shorn wethers, 31s lOd to 36s 9d; merino wethers, 30s; extra prime ewes, 52s 6d; prime ewes, 46s 6d to 50s; lighter ewes, 39s to 455; shorn ewes, 33s 9d.
