STONE'S DIRECTORY
Wo Lave received from the publishers, Messrs Stone, Son, and Co., the twentyseventh issue of their Directory for the Wellington, Hawko's Bay, and Taranaki districts. Like its predecessors, the present edition has boon added to and improved in various ways, and the work as a wholo eoems to compare favourably with the general run of publications of this class. In order to finding of names a number of references (nearly 1000 in all) nro given throughout the alphabetical division. By this means a person looking for a name of which he knows the pronunciation only will bo readily enabled to find the information sought for where otherwise he might be at a loss through an unusual mode of spelling. The directory contains the usual comprehensive amount of commercial, municipal, and personal information, but a large amount of space is also devoted to matters of general interest and concern, the Now Zealand Annual, for instance, being a most useful featuro of. the publication, covering, as it does, a wide range of subjects relating to tho dominion as a whole. Tho new issue will undoubtedly prove of value as a means of Tcferenco for commercial firms and even for private individuals.
