The output of gold in Western Australia for July amounted to 81,550 fine oz, valued at £346,404, as compared with 92.W7.48 fine oz, for July, 1916, valued at £305,499. The gold yield of New South Wales for July amounted to 10,6970z crude, equal to 10,4070z fine, valued at £44,207, as compared with 63110z crude, or 54960z fine, vamed at £23,347, for July, 1916. 'J.Tio total yieJd for the soven months was 52,7700z crude, or 50,2740z fine, valued at £21(3,551, as against 68,3010z orude, or 53,9650z fine, valued at £229,230, for the corresponding period last year, showing a decrease of 36910z fine, and £15;679 in value.
