A largo number of the friends of the late Captain Strang, formerly- marine superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company, attended his funeral at Wellingr ton on Wednesday. The Revs. W. Gray Dixon, of Dunedin, and Kennedy Elliott, officiated at the graveside, and the pallbearers were Captain Robert Neville, Captain H. Johnson (ex-harbourmaster), Mr N.
