GERMAN STEAMER TORPEDOED. ONE SAILOR KTT>T.pm Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. AMSTERDAM, July 25. (Received July 26, at 8.5 p.m.) A submarine torpedoed the German steamer Nordeney, coai-laden, from Rotterdam to Denmark. One sailor -was killed; the rest were rescued. BRITISH SHIPPING RECORD. Official: For the week ended July 22 the arrivals of shipping were 593 and departures 550, of which two steamers wore sunk. - MERCHANT CRUISER SUNK. TEN LIVES LOSE. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association and Reuter. LONDON, July 26. (Received July 26, at 8.45 p_m.) The Admiralty announces that the armed merchant cruiser Otway was torpedoed and sunk in northern waters. Ten were killed, and the remainder saved. A GERMAN CLAIM. BRITISH SUBMARINE SUNK. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and ReutpLONDON, July 26. (Received July 26, at 8.45 pjn.) ' A Berlin, official reuort states that the British submarine C 34 was sunk by an enemy submarine. One stoker survived and was taken prisoner. '
