THE LATE MR JAMES GORE
The remains of the late Mr James Gore (ex-Mayor of Dunedin) wero interred in the Southern Cemetery yesterday afternoon in the presexice of a good number of friends of the deceased. The cortege left his late residence in Queen's Drive, Musselburgh, at 2 p.m., and was preceded by members of the various Masonio Orders in the city, while a good number of brethren followed in profession immediately behind it. Then oame the representatives of the deceased's relatives, the chief officers of the Masonic Lodges, the Mayor (Mr J. J. Clark) and members of the City Council, and several vehicles And motor cars carrying friends of long standing of the deceased. Canon CurzonSiggers conducted the burial coremony at the grave, at the conclusion of which Canon Small (District Grand Chaplain of the Scottish Constitution of Freemasons) read tho funeral rites of tho order. The Various Masonio Constitutions were .officially represented by the following:— Rt. W. Bra. D. Cooke, D.G.M., U.Z.S., S.C.; Rt. W. Bro. T. S. Graham, D.G.M., E.C.; V. W. Bro G. Scott, P.S.G.M., 1.C.; R. W. Bro. A. W. Flett, P.G.M., N.Z.C.; Rt. W. Bro. A. Stoneham, P.P.G.M., NJS.C; R. W. Bro. J. J. Clark, P.P.G.M., N.Z.O. The pall-bearers were Bros. H. D. Carter, W. A. Wilkinson, R. S. Wardrop, P. S. Wright, C. Handle, D. Fairbairn. Tho City Council was represented by the Mayor (Mr J. J. Clark), and Crs. Wilson, Douglas, Thompson, Black, Hayward, Bradley, Small, and Begg. The Dunedin Jockey Club was represented by Mr W. J. Coughlan and Mr H. L. James, while the Forbury Trotting Club was represented by Mr R. Conn. The ex-Mayors of Dunedin were represented by Mr J. Loudon and Cr. J. Wilson. Mr John Jacobs was the Otago Hospital _ and Charitable Aid Board's representative.
