Tho following is the twelfth annual report of the St. Kilda Bowling Club, to bo submitted at the annual meeting on July
The profit and loss account shows a credit of £26 18s. As the year was commenced with a debit balance of £10 6s 10d, this improvement must be considered satisfactory. It is 1-ccommended that the following amounts be wwtton off: Billiard table No 1 account, £9; green formation, £11 2s 3d , leaving a credit balance of £6 15s 9d to be earned forward. On May 30 the Billiard lable Co-nmittee, on behalf of the subscribers thereto, presented to the directors a full-sized billiard table, complete with accessories. This valuable asset will immediately become rcvomic-produeing, and will, be of considerable financial assistance. Ihe directors conwdcr that the improved financial aspect justifies them in commencing to repay the debenture holders in the pavilion, and have decided to ballot out four £5 . ebentures at the annual meeting. The reT riT iS.n ,, T tOrS rp£ Te Messrs J - Dawson and J. M Curdy. They are eligible, and offer themselves for re-elention, as do also the auditors, Messrs R. E. Taylor and M. R Priest.
The committee states that all members' STjbscript)ons were paid before 31st December. The membership now stands at 104 The interclub competiiion was on the same lines as last year. We entered once more 15 rinke, and yonr committee is sure that we are on the right lines by doing so, as it has proved that is conducive to make the gamo more sociable, and also gives members a ohaoee to better themselves in play. Wo played 64 games, won 35, lost 27, and two were drawn. Pr ints for, "818; against, 3766; leaving 52 in our favour The pavilion has proved Hself a great rendezvous to the members, and has amply justified its ex/stence. \
The Winter Club, under the guidance of its president (Mr D. C. Cameron) and secrotary (Mr R. E. Taylor) was much arjpreciated by the members and lady frienus.
