Discrepancies and "defects" in regard to contracts, according to the recently issued report of the British Auditor-general appear to be endless. Two different branches of the Ministry were simultaneously allowing £33 18s and £30 per ton respectively to one firm for the same manufacturing processes, the cost of which at Woolwich, was eventually found to be only £10 7s Id per ton. In 'some respects, however the most amaaing of all the Ministry's contracts was that with Mrs Pankhurst's W.S.P.U. for the organisation of a. woman's demonstration, which Mr Lloyd George addressed in 1915. It was agreed to pay £3500 towards the expenses of that affair, but Mr Lloyd George , actually allowed the organisers to scretv £4174 out of the Ministry. NAZOL ?s known everywhere as the ready j for-use and money-saving remedy for coughs and colds. Acts like a charm. Sixty <loeca la 6d.
