RE-EXAMINATIONS IN BRITAIN.
PROOF OF FRAUDULENT REJECTIONS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, June 22. (Received June 23, at 0.15 a.m.) The House of Commons debated the question of the re-examination of discharged soldiers and rejected men. Mr MacPherson (Parliamentary Secretary to the War Office) declared* that reexamination proved that there were many fraudulent rejections. Thev had expected to get 60,000 recruits, and he now believed that they would get 60,000 A men and 60,000 others. The Government ■was -willing to appoint a committee to examine the working of re-examination. Mr Bonar Law mentioned that over 70,000 soldiers had been relieved for the trenches by the substitution of less fit men.
