PALMERSTON NOTES
(Fhom Our Own Cobrespondent.) PALMERSTON, April 16. Mr S. Bock has consented to be nominated for the mayoralty for tho ensuing year. Tiie Dunback dog trials attracted a large number of entries, bat the work done by the dogs was not quite so satisfactory as last year. This was specially noticeable in the huutaway class. The art union in aid of patriotic funds, tho prizes for which wero two largo oil paintings, -realised £11 12s. Half has been allotted to the Belgian relief and tho other half to tho Bed Cross.
