A busy, day was spent in tho embrown, packing Belgian oases, parcels sent tnrougn the cluo to tne soldiers, and soldiers' comforts. Tho workers who aro'not packing aro busy making up various articles of clothing. A splendid tot of woollen mufflers has been sent to the room tor the sailors. Many of these havo k been mado in schools, and reflect great credit upon tho teachers and pupils. As another lot of Belgian cases will soon be sent away, the committee will bo glad of donations of pieces of material, old blankets, rugs, or discarded clothing in good order. The rooni is open on Monday from 1.30 p,m. till 5 p.m., and on Wednesday and Friday from 10, a.m. till 5 pm. Donations have been received from:—"E. R. P.," ss; Miss Pearl Sohcrp (St. Bathans), 10s, proceeds of sale of paper flowers; Miss Calder, 2s 6d; Mrs L. M'Lean, Miss M'Gowan, "Friend l " (Belgian goods). OVERSEAS CLUB, OAMARU. Sinoo the annual meeting, which was held early in March, the work of the women's branch has gone steadily forward. Articles of equipment and Lady Liverpool dominion parcels goods were forwarded to the Early Settlers' Hall on March 9, and again on April 13. The articles of equipment comprised 6 dozen each of the following: —pairs of hand-knitted socks, pairs of mittens, balaclavas, scarfs, handkerchiefs, and service bags. The dominion parcels goods, valued at £40, included hand-iknitted socks, handkerchiefs, m-uslin shirts, pencils, and condensed milk. Two cases of goods donated. by the Enfield Committee were also forwarded, and contained milk, cocoa, dates, raisins, chocolate, etc. . . The following clipping from a letter just received from France will be of interest: — "I have had-quite a lot of parcels lately— two lots of Lady Liverpool parcels, both from Auckland, one for each man, and very good ones, too. Everyone was very pleased with them." iJOTTINGS. Several men are wanted for home service with tho Army Service Corps in Dunedin. These must be men who are classed as C2, and they must be accustomed to horses. Mrs J. Glenn, 106 Bay View road, has received cable advice that her son, Sergeant A. J. Glenn, has been admitted to the Walton-on-Thames Hospital, suffering from pneumonia. , . , •
