Inspector Phair, of Hamilton, appeared on behalf of the Crown, and applied for a remand until April 26. Mr Singer, who appeared on behalf of the men, offered no objection, and tho remand was granted. G. Bowen, ono of tho defendants, is tho new president of the Huntly Miners' Union, andlS. Freeman is tho new secretary. The town of Huntly is very quiet, and work is proceeding at the mines in a manner similar to the previous week's.
