At the Burns Hall this evening Dr Newman will deliver his most interesting lecture entitled "What I Learned About the War During My Rccent Visit to the l!ront. Being one of the New Zealand larliamentary party, Dr Newman had splendid opportunities of learning first-hand tha conditions prevailing at tho battle front, having actually been in the fire trenches himself. Dr 'Newman also visited the New Zealand wounded at the various hospitals in England, and is able to tell many things which a,re not known to the public a.t large. During the evening appropriate songs will be rendered by Mrs S. C. Wilson and Miss Marjorie Lemon.
