WAITATI WOMEN'S SOCIETY

The Waitati Women's Patriotic Society sent to tho Eariy Settlers' Hall in March tho following:—29 pairs of socks and 2 balaclavas, and the school children made S3 soap bags, 75 sendee bags, ,7 handkerchiefs, 2 facecloths, 6 pairs of cuffs, and 1 pair of socks. On March 23 a very interesting lecture -was given by Mr E. P. Lee, M.P. for the district, on his visit to the Old Country and the battlo front. The proceeds from this added considerably to tho locrii sewing fund for patriotic wor^c.
