MEETING AT TIMARTJ (Peb United Press Association.) ' , , TIMARU, April 13. Tho exncutxvo of the Canterbury Second Division League has drafted its platform and proposals in regard to pay and pensions. Tho platform is non-political, and the league will help tho Government to • carry out tho military Acts and endeavour to secure adequate pay, allowances, and : pensions for all soldiers and dependents and co-opcrato with other leagues. The pro- ■ posals to be submitted to a ceneral meeting includo 'the following:—Tho pay of ;v ■ prrvato to bo "not loss than 7s 6d a day and Is reparation allowance for wife and • Is 6d for each child from tho dav of en- • listrncnt; a ponsion oE not less than the ' soldier's pay in service for total disablement; tho amount of tho death pension tiliih £1 a week for partial disablement, to linng tho incomo c<pjal to that for total the Government, to pay I soldiers' obligations as defined in the regu- ; lations of January 16, 1917, not exceeding : £2 • per week.
