NATIONAL PATRIOTIC APPLE SHOW.

Considerable interest is being- evinced in the National Patriotio Apple Show, to be held in the Brydone Hall at the beginning of next montii. Otago promises to hold a strong- hand The provincial exhibits will, of course, be tho main draw, and as the enthusiasm is being manifested, it is anticipated that something out of the oidinary' will bo tho result. Each province is doing its utmost to secure the blue ribbon of the show, and- the displays will be artistio erections holding shows of fruit that could hardly credit •were grown in the dominion. Classes will be provided for tho ladies in order to create an interest in the show by tho ladies. Provision, has been made for the thrifty housewife, besides students of technical and domestic science colleges. The committee urgently desires tho co-operation of the ladies by entenng for the classes indicated, further particulars of which will be gladly furnished by the secretary. The whole of the proceeds from tickets and the sale of produce, etc., will bo donated to patriotic societies rn equal proportions.
