CONFERENCE OF EMPLOYEES. . (Pen United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Mav 27. As the result of the Australasian ~ organiser's visit to Now Zealand with the object of securing a closer organisation of tho men employed in tho meat industry, a conference of delegates, representing all sections in tho meat and allied trades, assembled in Wellington t.o-da-,. Frftv-one men were present, and Mr John Riiro-" nresided.
A resolution was adopted that the conference affirms the desirableness of amalgamation, and a committee \vas appointed to draft a constitution.
The conference was then adjourned till to-morrow.
