MINING.
Tho shareholders of the Watchman Gold Mining Company, at an .extraordinary gouoral meeting on Wednesday afternoon, confirmed a resolution agreeing to wind up tho company (says the New Zealand Messrs E. Anderson, J. W. Nichol, and J. Kcrnick were appointed liquidators, Mr x\ndorson consenting- to act in an honorary capacity. A proposal to reconstruct the New Sylvia Gold Mining Company and to form a new company will bo placed before shareholders at a special meeting to bo held after the annual meeting. A resolution will bo submitted that the company's undertaking and -assets bo sold to Mr P. N. Kingswell, as trustee for the proposed new company. It is pointed out in a circular issued to shareholders that this process of reconstruction will .obviate delay, and enablo work at tho mine to go on without intermission. If tho resolution is adopted a now company will be registered with a capital of £15.000 in 150,000 shares of 2s "each, and provision will bo made to limit the amount o[ calls to 2d each share. Shares in tho new company will bo offered to present shareholders in the proportion of one for every two now held.
