AUCKLAND, January . 30.—Sailed: Kamona (5.45 p.m.), for Westport. WELLINGTON, January 30.—Arrived: Maiaroa (11.5 a.m.), from Lyttelton; Tarawera (11.15 a.m.), from Nanier; Koutunui (0.30 p.m.), from East Coast. Sailed: Mararoa (7.50 p.m.), for Lyttelton; Paloona / (8.15 p.m.), for Melbourne. «, ' The Wanaka left Newcastle on 'Monday night for liytteltoa. UJlhe Rosamond will leave Bluff this afternoon for Wellington. The Karori is due here early this after- , soon from. Westport and Lyttelton. The Tβ Anau, will leave A-uekiand to-day for Dunedin, via porta. The Kahika is due at Westport to-day to load coal for Bluff and Dunedin. The Kaituna arrived at Newcastle, at noon yesterday from Melbourne, and will sail to-night for New Plymouth and Picton. . The Kaiapoi, -which reached Sydney on ' Monday from Greymouth, is expected to leave that port on D'riday for Newcastle tx> J load for New Zealand. The Tarawera reached Wellington yesterday morning, but ,work proceeded slowly on account of the shortago of labour, and the vessel will not leave until to-day. Consequently she will not reach here until Friday. . The Victoria is due at Auckland on Friday night from Sydney. On her southern trip she will proceed only as far as Wellington, and will turn round there, leaving that port for Sydney, via Napier, Gisborne. and Auckland. • Captain J. M. Drowette, of the Monowai, who has been on leave, has rejoined his ship. Mr A 4 H. Prosser, chief officer, has left the vessel, and Mr G. Macdonald l has Signed on aa extra officer. There was a decrease in the trade of tie port of New Plymouth during last year ■The total (joantity. of cargo handled was 90,108 tons, as compared with 92,107 tons the previous year. The imports fell by 1380 tons. The fall in exports was due entirely to the non-shipment of dairy produce, owing to the shortage of steamers. - J. he working account shows a net increase of profits amounting to £1023 Is 2d.
