THE WEATHER.
The unusually equable weather which has been the rule throughout the holidays and for some months past did not suffer by comparison with the climatic conditions which prevailed locally yesterday, which was the hottest day experienced for a considerable time. At noon it was very sultry, not to say oppressive, but in the afternoon a light nor'easter tempered-thc heat to; agreeableness. A Gore message advised that yesterday was the hottest day-experienced in Gore for seven years, tKe thermometer recording 92deg. The temperature local! v was about 88deg.
