'J ho workers at the Early Settlers' Hall hme had a busy week Yeetercky 15 big bags, containing 350 troopship k.ts for the Sixteenth Reinforcements, were get ready for immediate shipment . The monthly consignment of Dominion paicels (2000 in number) also received its tinal preparation foi going away. Theic aro also cases to be shipped containing goods for tho distressed Belgians and for the Russian prisoners, and an extra case was packed with comforts for tho Brockenhurst Hospital, which is near Southampton. Invercargill's contnbution of 500 dominion parcels has arrived, and will be sent forward.
A big staff of women were preparing of sweets, ete., for the soldiers' theatre pa i ties. The Oamaru branch of the Overseas Club has sent goods to tho -value of £20 9s for dominion gift parcels. Acknowledgments by tho treasurer are as follow:—

The ladies of tho Moonlight-Macraes Patriotic Society sent away for July (ho following artick sThirteen pairs socks, two balaclavas, two suits pj jamas, 23 pillowslips. 40 soap 12 service bags, 47 te.itoweK tu (i face-cloths, two pairt cuffs, and se\en Collectors brought in £2 120 6d. The Macr>ies Cricket Club donated £7 8s 4d towauls the funds. Tho donations for dominion gift parcels amounted to £1.
