The following cablegram was leceived on Saturday (says the Dominion) by tho National Secietarj of tho Y.M.C.A. (Mr Biownell):—" Eigr.r Association men, including Parrv, Wilkinson self (Vohm), with An/.xc Mounted DiM.sion during recent battle, astounded with remarkable performance of our troops." Tho latest progress statement of tho Disfbarged Soldiers' Information Department up to the 9th inst. shows that 3577 cases have been disposed of, 1070 aro under action, while there are 656 men not ready for action, including those returned by iccent transports. Somo 4132 reports have, been issued, and there aro now 205 in tho hands of interviewing officers. Tho partionhrs of the cas"s disposed of aro as follow :—Left Nov Zealand or cannot ascertain address, 125; re-enlistcd or returned to mihtaiv duty, or hue work to return to, rt''., 1411; men who have signed "assistance not lequived," G9B; men placed in employment, 849; men who have not responded 1o icpeated communications, and men who have accepted work tho dopaitment found for them but failed to start woik. 134; men who have drawn sections of land. 110 There are 32?, at present on the "employment wanted" register, six being located in Wellington. Those have been nominated for different positions.
