(Pes United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 21. At tho trial of Rua to-day evidence in rebuttal of tho Maoris' statements regarding tho first shot and tho loss of money was given by two policomen. CIIRISTCHUhCH, July 21. A lad named Sydney Harold Ray, living at Ilillmortcn, died suddenly this morning. Ho complained at breakfast of pains in hts head. He commenced to vomit, and died in a few minutes. Ho was 15 years of age, and was studying with a view to matriculating. In Chambers in tho Supremo Court today, on tho motion of tho District Law Society, an order nisi was made to show cause why a Christchurch solicitor of tho •Supremo Court should not bo struck off tho roll or suspended.
