M. Eves. After spending several years in th it office, ho was transferred to Christchureh, and subsequently to Wellington, where he enb-ted. and left with the 11th Reinforcement-. He was a particularly fine tvo'e of young man. and during the last few- -scars of hi'- residence in Liwrence took an active part m the social life of the community, being connected with the football, tennis and golf flubs.
