The latest, return from the Murray's Freehold is 430z for 100 hours' work, not 530z a 6 published yesterday. The following cablegram has been despatched to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company :--No. 11 level, Edward lode: Driving south from, Spratt crosscut, 31ft was driven, 521 ft to 552 ft, value 7s 6d a ton; Empire _ lode, east of Bath crosscut, 32ft was driven, 392 ft to 424 ft, value 27s Dd a ton; Royal lode, west of Princcs drive, 36ft was driven, 20ft to 56ft, value 9s 6d a ton." For the period ending April 15 the Waihi Grand Junction Company treated 10.300 tons for a return of bullion yalued at £16,066 2s lOd. Compared with the figures for the corresponding period of last year, when 10,010 tons yielded £17,573 4s 2d, the present return shows a decrease of £1507 Is 4d. No. 3 rise (at 780 ft) has been put up 27ft; the average assay value is £3 per ton."
