OTAGO WOMEN'S PATRIOTIC ASSOCIATION. Through tho kindness of the New Zealand Shipping Company 25 cases of clothing, etc., for the British and Belgian Relief Fluids wore shipped by tho Rimutaka to London, making 44 cases altogether this year. Clothing of all kinds, if clean and in good repair,, is igratofully accepted for these boxes. The committee is now packing a case of men's clothing for the Russian prisoners in Germany, and will be glad to reccive any quantity of this. The Victoria League, London ; has made oomplete preparation for sending both clothing and money to the prisoners in Germany, and donors of either may be quite sure that it will reach the proper destination. The second shipment of jam is now being packed at tho Early Settlers' Hall. The Gore Committee has received an offer of SO 21b tins of honey, and this will go forward with the jlay shipment. Empty tins (cocoa, pepper, mustard, etc.) are required in large quantities. Two thousand, dominion gift parcels are to be packed every month, and, asr many things will be purchased in bulk, small tins will be required for repacking. Money and goods are urgently needed for the dominion parcels, wnich are for general distribution amongst the Now Zealanders at the iront, and if ttiu scheme is a success a parcel once a month to every man in the trenches will be the result. Miss Rosa acknowledges with thanks the following subscriptions for tho Royal Navy prisoners of war:—Mrs and Miss Paterson, £2; "F: A. J.," £1; Mrs Martin (Fairfield), ss. Mrs Connor (Leviathan Hotel) donated £12, to be divided as follows^:—Patriotic, £2; ' Belgian, £3; Serbian, £2; Russian prisoners, £2; Wounded Soldiiers and Dependents' Fund, US. The following donations have been received Wellington Solditirs' Club: Gbre Women's Patriotic Committee (one year), £3; Clinton branch Women's Patriotic Association, ss; Uamaru (Overseas Club, women 6 branch), 6s; Rosiyn-Kaikorai branch, sa. Wounded Soldiers'. Fund: Mr W. B. M. Fea, £21 (proceeds of magic lantern raffle). Dominion parcels : Collected ; at wool sale (Mrs Beaumont), £3 Is 6d; Rosiyn-Kaikorai, 15s; "Anon," 2s 6d; Uwaiia branch (per Mrs Shaw), two cases j of condensed milk; Mxe Galiaway, a parcel of comforts.

FORTOBELLO BRANCH. The Portobollo branch of the Otago Women s I\iU'joiic Association commenced work ioi' 1916 on Wednesday, February 9, a lair number of members being present. On March 30 work was finished and packed for sending'forward. Tile following articles were sent : —2B pairs socks, 3 balaclavas, - 6 handkercliiels, 14 housewiles, 17 tea towels, 10 face cloths. Tne committee will be pleased to welcome more ladies who are w;Jiing to work for our bravo boys at the front. A very successful social was held recently to welcome Sergeant Mather. Several otiier returned soldiers were present. Speeches were given b.y Messrs Dickson, M.P., Miller, and Roy, and responded to by Sergeant Mather and/Private Gooch, the musical part of the programme being much appreciated. Supper was provided by the ladies, , and the r.mainder of the cake was sold and the proceeds added to the funds.

THE RED CItOSS SOCIETY. 9 _ Lhe Ministering Children's Leagu-e is giving a garden fete at Mrs Butterworth's residence, Melrose, on Saturday afternoon next, the proccecle n aid of the local Red Cross and the soldiers' and sailors' children in England. All contributions from the associates of scones, cakes, flowers, etc., will be very grateiuifly accepted. All donations can be left at the Red Gross rooms. By kind permission of Captain StenJiouse, the Aurora will be thrown open to the publio on Saturday and Sunday at the Duned.n wharf. A charge of 6cl will be made, the proceeds being divided between the Uunedii: Red Cross audi Port Chalmers Red Cross.
