GERMAN OFFICIAL REPORT.

' SUCCESS WEST OF THE MEUSE. LONDON, April 10. A Berlin wireless message states : We repulsed attempts by English bombing parties to recapture the craters at St Eloi. West of the Meuse we isolated two fortified points of support called Alsace" and " Lorraine," south-west of Bethincourt. The enemy sought to avoid the danger by a hasty retreat, but the Silesians cut them off and inflicted sanguinary losses. We qaptured 700 unwounded men, two field guns, and 13 machine guns. We also cleared the front due north of the village of Avocourt, the south of Crow's Wood, and the ravine south-west of Poivre Hill.
