DOCTORS AND LODGE PATIENTS.
DEPUTATION TO MR RUSSELL. A 'CONFERENCE TO BE HELD. (Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 11. A deputation from the British Medical Association waited on the Minister for Internal Affairs to-day in connection with their dispute with the friendly societies regarding the payment for attending lodge members. Doctors demand an increase from 15s to 24s per member, on the ground that the present scarcity of medical men through the requirements for military service renders the ■ work more difficult to cover. A long discussion took place, tho deputation indicating an inclination to stand firm by its demands, but eventually, on Mr Russell's suggestion, it was agreed that a conference with lodge representatives be hold on a date- to bo arranged. •
