The average attendance for tha year , ended December 31 was 47, and the roll number at March 31 was 54. The annual inspection of the school was made on August 2, and the report. was of a very satisfactory nature. Representations having been made to tho committee that as some of the children resided a considerable distance from the school the time allowed for luncheon (one hour) was inadequate, it has been arranged to alter the time-table. so that in future the recess will be for an hour and a-quarter. The Rov. Mr Gray still continues to hold his Bible class on Friday afternoon. The committee regrets to report that the school is about to lose the valuable services of Miss Lothian, who has ably filled the position of mistress for close upon nine years While regretting her resignation, the committee expresses good wishes for her future success. Some email extra non-recurring school requisites, catting trees, repairs to piano, etc. —have rather reduced the school funds, the balance to the, credit of the school account on December 31 being £4 3s 4d.
