FINANCE MINISTER RESIGNS. \ ATHENS, April 9. (Received April 10, at 8.40 p.m.) M. Dragouniis, Finance Minister, has resigned, despite the entreaties of his colleagues. His* resignation is due to the emptiness of the State coffers.

ACCOUNT OF THEIR RESCUE. IN THE LIBYAN DESERT. LONDON, April 9. (Received April 10, at 8.40 p.m.) A stirring account of the rescue of the Tara's castaways has appeared. A company of the Camel Corps rendered invaluable assistance, making blistering marches in the burning sun, and in scorching sandstorms, ending in the capture of the water supply of the Senussi's main camp, materially contributing to its evacuation. There was also the Westminster's motor dash in pursuit. The account states that the Tara castaways suffered untold hardships. They spent weary months in captivity, hidden at Seasi, in the Libyan desert.

An Arab guide volunteered to direct the motor cars. He took them over illimitable stretches of baro sand, without a distinguishing mark for countless miles that any but desert dwellers could distinguish, and reached a so-called hidden spring. The party slew the guards and discovered the castaways, who were living skeletons. Their joy at seeing English faces beggared all description. They were tenderly taken abroad the cars back to safety.
